On the morning of May 28^th, Christening ceremony for first 38670DWT bulk carrier in Yangfan Group, it was named “GIULIA 1”. It is reported that the “GIULIA 1” was the first vessel in series of 18 that Yangfan will build for d’AMICO dry limited.
As a environmental friendly dry bulk carrier, “GIULIA 1” was high approved by shipowner and classification society by its distinctive technical feature. The vessel are fully in line with RINA “GREEN STAR 3” requirements, and the oil consumption was 10% less than the similar vessel, that the reason why it was awarded “Energy saving vessel” by RINA. “GIULIA 1” was the first vessel has been awarded the same.
